Vote, vote, vote – seriously, stop everything and vote!

Yesterday I wrote a post about how important it is to go out and vote today, and I also shared who I’m voting for and the kind of country I want to live in. Today, I’m writing this post which is about one thing and one thing only, voting and why you absolutely need to do it, now!

First things first, if you already voted early (like me and ~100M other people) congrats, you should have received confirmation that your vote was counted. But don’t just sit there, you can do things to, here’s an example:

Also, notice this site is on a .US domain – Yes, as a domain investor I just can’t help myself. But in all seriousness, if you’ve already voted there are still a lot of things you can do to continue to make a difference today.

If you haven’t voted yet, it’s not too late, get out there and do it. As an employer myself I can tell you that companies are required by law to allow employees time off to vote today, so if you think you’ll get in trouble for any reason, know that’s not true. Of course, that being said, I don’t think there’s a company out there that isn’t encouraging their employees to vote right now.

As many people have said, this might be the most important election in all of our lives. The impact of what the next President will do over the next four years will be massive. For some people, voting for what is financially the best for them is their top priority, for others health and safety wins the day, and for others, religion or moral compass takes the cake.

When it comes to prioritization, there is no right answer, it’s an incredibly personal decision. Like I said in my post yesterday, whether you vote for Trump or Biden know that I respect you and your decision. While I can tell you that probably 95% of my social circle is voting for Biden, I can also tell you that the 5% of people in my social circle who are voting for Trump are still wonderful people who I love and respect.

No matter what happens, now is a time for us to come together, not as democrats and republicans but as Americans. While it can be easy to forget, remember, we are all more similar than we are different, but above all, we all deserve love and respect, even if we don’t agree all the time.

Now get out there and vote, and if you’ve already voted, do what you can to help motivate others to vote, every single person can make a difference today!
