Normally the night before NamesCon starts I would be somewhere in the world having a beer with other domain investors, likely staying up way too late, but loving every minute of it. But as we all know, things arenāt quite what they used to beā¦so instead Iām watching a Nova special on Mars and writing this blog post š¤·āāļø
Two years ago right about now I was hanging out with a bunch of you, my blog readers, at a little shindig I held at the Foundation Room at the top of the Mandalay Bay in Vegas.
I canāt wait to see everyone again in-person, but that doesnāt mean saying hello virtually isnāt going to be a blast. One thing Iāve found interesting about online conferences in general is that I end up watching a lot more talks than I usually would. I spend enough time looking at expired domain auctions that it couldnāt hurt to learn more about what I might be missing!

I love standup comedy, 2020 was such an intense year, heck January of 2021 was damn intense, I could certainly use more laughter in my life.
For those who have read this far I have a little treat for you. Last year I made a video of my full first day at NamesCon from leaving my place in SF, giving a talk with my buddy Braden, and partying the night away in Austin. I re-watched this for the first time since I made it tonight and it brought back a little back of that wonderful NamesCon energy, enjoy!
