Hello, happy Friday, and welcome to Morgan’s Flippa Five. This is a strange week, it’s the first time we’ve had two .NET names make the list. Just to be clear, we’re not suddenly bullish on .NET, but there are two exceptional premium .NET names that hit Flippa that we thought were worth sharing.
We’ll start it off with a name that we think is a monster.
Carpool.com – the ride-sharing market is hotter than ever, this is the category-killer, and it’s 20 years old and like a fine wine, it certainly has gotten better with age.
Cars.net – it’s clear other investors also see a lot of value in this particular .NET, currently at $10,500 with 8 days to go. When buying .NET you have to be very picky, gone are the days where people say, “If I can’t get the .COM I’ll just get the .NET” – there are just too many other options now. However this is a 20-year old premium .NET and those are hard to come by.
Golden.com – huge name, I have talked about it in the past – has a BIN set at $150k so I do expect this to have a relatively high reserve, but it’s a solid name so it just depends how high that is.
Find.net – yes, it’s a strange week but there’s no denying that this is another one of those special .NET names that you just look at and you know it’s good. Easily a 7-figure domain were it to be a .COM.
Moroccan.com – an interesting one-word .COM, probably wouldn’t pay big bucks for it, but meaningful or could be used as a brandable so has relatively broad use cases.
