Whois.ai held a domain auction for .AI domain names and, safe to say, there was a lot of interest ending in what is likely the #1 single day of .AI sales in history topping out just north of $100,000. The top spot went to Think.ai for $21,988 which makes it the 4th highest report .AI sale of all time.
Other notable .AI sales were Buddy.ai for $5,559, Win.ai for $4,999, and Panther.ai for $4,937. Of course not all .AI sales sold for mid-four figures, there were a lot of names in the $1,000 – $2,000 range like Craig.ai for $1,000, Choice.ai for $1,119 and Advanced.ai for $1,999.
Of course with anything like this it’s important to look at all the data before thinking, “oh wow, if I buy a .AI domain I could sell it for $5,000 easily!” While there were plenty of solid mid four-figure sales, the average sale ended up coming out to just around $1,000.
