There was a time when you could include a dot in your name on Twitter which meant for accounts specific to a website you could use the website name directly. Then the rules changed and you could no longer include a dot which lead to some strange names like something(dot)com which just looks weird.
Well I was just notified by one of my Twitter followers (thanks @NameSelling) that the dot is back. Since I have two Twitter accounts, one for me, and one for this blog that means that I can finally put MorganLinton.com in the Name rather than MorganLinton(dot)com. So now my blog’s profile on Twitter looks like this:
![morgan-linton-com-twitter-profile](/content/images/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/morgan-linton-com-twitter-profile.png)
So if you’ve been waiting to get that silly (dot) out of your Twitter name, now you can.
