I knew that TrafficZ had been working hard on something new over there on Olympic Ave, a few blocks away from me in LA. I wasn’t sure what it was but I do know there is an office full of very smart people there so whatever they built it was going to be big. If you don’t know who TrafficZ is, they are a parking service owned by parent company Thought Convergence which also owns Aftermarket and Domain Tools.
Thought Convergence is not a one or two person company, there are around 30 people in their office here in LA including some top notch software developers and designers. They tend to not draw much hype to what they are doing and, like Apple, keep pretty darn quiet about what new secret sauce they are working on. So what have they been up to?
TrafficZ was one of the very early parking services, which at the time was one of the best ways to monetize your domains. However, times have changed and now many Domainers are looking for alternative solutions to monetize their domains, many building full scale websites to recapture lost traffic and revenue. Now TrafficZ is throwing their hat in the ring with a solution that brings them front and center in 2012 with a platform that supports the direction that many Domainers are going. Of course it’s not just Domainers this applies to because what they have created is a real viable alternative to AdSense.
The video above is exactly one minute long and explains what Ad Tools does. If you’re not patient enough for a video, I’ll tell you in three bullet points, Ad Tools provides:
- Qualified Search – ads based on the search term a visitor used to reach your site.
- Sponsored Search – ads you can display when a visitor performs a search on your site.
- Content Match – ads displayed based on the content on your site.
Sounds a bit like PPC solutions you’ve used before? It sure does only I can tell you from experience that TrafficZ is a company that works hard for Domainers and Developers, I can assure you that our friends whose name begin with a capital “G” are not out there to help us out. Of course I can’t provide any feedback on how the solution performs until I try it myself so I’ll be using Ad Tools on a few of my sites and sharing my experiences with all of you. What has me excited about this is the people behind it who have an incredible track record of putting out A Quality stuff. Stay tuned and definitely feel free to give it a shot yourself, you can sign-up at http://www.trafficz.com/signup/adtools
