As a blogger I am always trying to develop new techniques and learn from the pros to take my blog to the next-level. One concept I’ve been talking about a lot lately is increasing your focus. As a blogger focus is oftentimes a struggle as many new bloggers aren’t making any money so are frequently trying to do ten million other things to generate revenue. This does however create a bit of a chicken-egg problem as you can’t really make good money with your blog unless you give it an unfair share of your time.
If you’re only posting once or twice a week on your blog it will be hard to keep regular visitors. At the same time, if you’re posting every day but don’t have anything interesting to say you will also lose readers! Sounds hard doesn’t it? Well nobody said blogging was easy!
Darren Rowse of ProBlogger.net wrote a great post yesterday titled – From Blog to Small Business: Tips for Taking Your Blog to a Whole New Level. This is a must-read for anyone who really wants to turn their blog into a business. Of course if you are serious about blogging you should be reading Darren’s blog every day since he is someone that took his passion for blogging and turned it into a career.
If you can take just one of two of his tips and learn from them you’ll be moving your blog forward. Remember, the second you think you know it all is the moment you stop innovating and moving forward. Enjoy this article and have a great Sunday morning!
