I still can’t believe that WEBfest is only a week away, this year is already flying by and if you’ve had a chance to look at the agenda you can see that WEBfest has really worked hard to put-together a solid schedule for Domainers of all levels. This year I will part of a workshop with Andrew Rosner and Paul Nicks and it’s all about how to negotiate a fair price for a domain name.
Last year was a huge year for Linton Investments as we shifted our focus to helping startups pick and acquire domains for their brands. From startups with millions in funding to small startups short on cash but big on ideas we were able to help close to 20 startups get a great domain for their brand.
We had some epic negotiations last year and along with negotiating deals ourselves, I also had the chance to teach dozens of startup founders how to negotiate their own deals. So far in 2013 we’ve helped three new startups find and acquire a strong domain for their brand and we’re working with half a dozen more to make their domain dreams come true!
If you haven’t yet bought your ticket for WEBfest, you should, this year is looking better than ever and I’ll have a few more exciting announcements this week that will make it even more tantalizing for your to get your butt to LA. There’s no better way to start the year, hope to see you there!
Note: WEBfest is not a sponsor of this blog nor I am getting any special pricing for the conference. I am paying over $2,000 for Daina and I to attend and know from previous years that it is worth every penny.
