Last week I released the results of my first domain survey. In my first survey I looked at what domain buyers are looking for, what domain sellers are looking for, and how much they make in yearly income. I had a total of 42 respondents and was able to publish some very interesting results, you can see each part using the links below:

At the end of the day I think my first survey helped us carve out some basic trends but with only 42 people it isn’t representative of much. Still I don’t want to belittle how useful this was – for me I think it showed a huge disconnect. A huge amount of Domainers wanted to buy domains in the sub-1K range and sell in the 1K plus range – this overlap leads little room for sales. However it’s not really fair for me to draw any conclusions until we get more data. So I’m excited to announce my second survey and my attempt to give all of us even more useful information to better understand the industry at this point in time.
I have decided to make the survey shorter to encourage more people to contribute. Please share your information, be 100% truthful, and help us all learn some interesting things together! No email address is captured here so the survey is completely anonymous.
