One of my all-time favorite Mondays…and here’s why

Today was an incredibly busy and intense day, but also one I really enjoyed and will always remember. First, it was our first full day in our brand new office (see below)

It was also our very first board meeting which was intense but also a lot of fun, we have a great board and great investors and I couldn’t be more excited to be on this journey together.

After our board meeting we had an amazing dinner with some incredibly inspiring people, topics of conversation included self-driving cars (of which I now have a bet on), the potential end of credit cards (or maybe not) and lots of really interesting founder stories.

To end the night I found-out that Daina and I were featured by BuiltInAustin as 50 Austin Tech CEO’s, Founders, Designers, and Hackers you should follow on Twitter alongside people like Bob Metcalfe (the founder of Ethernet).

My Uncle used to say something that I’ll always remember, “Thank goodness it’s Monday”. He said this because he believed when you’re doing something you love, you’ll be excited every Monday. I felt that way this morning, this afternoon, and I’m going to sleep feeling that way.

If every Sunday night you go to sleep going, “Oh no, not another Monday,” it’s time for a change. Life is short, do something you love. I work more hours in a day now than I ever had and and I’m loving every minute of it.

This was a Monday I’ll never forget, time for bed, Tuesday awaits!
