That’s right, it’s June which means that three long months of sun are coming, unless you live in LA and which case it’s just business as usual. Either way, it’s summer time and that means a wardrobe change is in order. Sure, you can pull out that same pair of shorts you’ve been wearing for years and dust the cobwebs off the flip flops you bought for $9.99 at Walgreens, or you can put some effort in and get stylin.
As many of you know, I’ve become a mens fashion addict. My desk is now stacked with mens fashion magazines and my closet and dresser are at maximum capacity. Oh, and it’s only getting worse. Still, it’s a good addiction and a fun one and hopefully I can get a few of your hooked as well.
So if you’re ready to step up your fashion game this summer, here are three things you’ll want to make sure are on the list:
1. A Cool Pair Of Shorts
Forget those normal khaki shorts that everyone has, dare to be different and stand-out. When it comes to cool shorts Bonobos is one of my absolute favorites, here’s one pair you can’t go wrong with:
2. Boat Shoes
You don’t need to own a boat to wear boat shoes. These shoes are incredibly comfortable and are one of the only type of shoes you can wear with shorts without looking ridiculous. Sorry but your tennis shoes don’t look good with shorts. Sperry Top-Sider has an awesome selection of boat shoes, the ones below are my personal favorite:
Give your eyes a break this summer and invest in a pair of good sunglasses. While you might think that the $50 pair you bought years ago is fine, you’ll find that a good pair of sunglasses makes all the difference. I’ve had a pair of Maui Jim’s for years and honestly can’t live without them.
